The BUA Lecturers' Organisation was newly founded on 18 October 2004.

The association sonsists of the representatives in the individual departments, who organise themselves independently (the number of delegates is determined by the size of the department, and of the Board, which includes delegates from all the departments and is elected by the general assembly

The purpose of the association is to:

• represent the interests of the lecturers vis-à-vis the Heads of Department and the Head of the BUA
• cooperation with the lecturers' organisation of the Berne University of Applied Sciences / ProFHesBE
• regularly inform its members of ongoing discussions
• mediate in the event of difficulties arising between lecturers and other members of the BUA staff (ombudsfunction).

In the event of problems and questions, the representatives of the different departments can be reached via their contact addresses at any time.
