The Bern University of the Arts (BUA) sees itself as a locally engaged university with a distinctive, carefully nurtured international network. It supports all its members (students, teachers, researchers, and administrative staff) in the acquisition and development of those competences that are required in an increasingly globalised educational and working environment.

BUA promotes participation in various exchange programmes (e.g. ERASMUS) and supports its students in their search for traineeships at home and abroad. In the postgraduate area (master’s and further education programmes), the range of courses offered has an increasingly international flavour.

The International Relations Office is responsible for administering and supporting international matters at Bern University of the Arts (BUA). It organises the participation in international education and research programmes, supports the sections in implementing internationalisation and takes care of foreign guests and students.
