The postgraduate programmes of the Bern University of the Arts are designed according to the current needs and requirements in art and design professions.

There are programmes already existing or being developed in the fields ”Career & Transfer”, “Art and Design Practice” and “Education”. Whether you intend to take the next step in your career or a new direction, the BUA programmes give you the chance to reflect on and expand your knowledge and abilities alongside your professional activity and to acquire new insights, skills and qualifications.

All postgraduate programmes result in a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) or the federally recognised Master of Advanced Studies (MAS). These programmes are modular in structure. In many cases, it is possible to take only individual courses, in agreement with the respective Head of Studies.

Prerequisites for postgraduate programmes at the BUA are a university degree or equivalent formation, as well as at least two years of professional experience. Depending on the type of postgraduate programme, additional admission requirements may have to be met.
