Jazz
Already in 1967, the "Swiss Jazz School" was founded as the first autonomous jazz school in Europe. In the meantime, this traditional school has been integrated into the Music Department of the Bern University of the Arts, one of the leading Swiss art academies.
The three years of Bachelor studies in Music are followed by Master studies, which fully qualify the musicians to practice their profession. The different specialisations in Composition & Arrangement, Performance or Pedagogy offer a lot of choice to the students and give them the freedom to develop a range of individual profiles.
