Research in the Master’s degree in Theater follows the specific specialisations or research focuses of the individual partner universities in the Campus. In the specialisation Scenic Arts Practice, research and development is understood as a search for performative productions (research focus Interpretation Research) and its methodological follow-up (research field: Performance Analysis, as part of Interpretation Research). Further interfaces occur in the research focus Intermediality. Master’s students who locate their individual project in a research context participate in the research projects and research-specific training offered by the BUA.
