Study Programme
In order to encourage a discussion between the different art domains, Y launches an Annual theme, which forms the focus of artistic reflection and production in all the different departments. In the Y-Friday projects centred on this annual theme, students work in parallel on the same problem and thus experience the other disciplines, not only in terms of their finished work but also during the production process. The results of this thematical confrontation are presented to the public at the end of each semester and collated in a written publication at the end of each year. The annual theme for 2007/2008 is "Law".
In the sense of a studium generale, Y selects and groups courses from the other departments and supplements them with interdisciplinary lectures on subjects such as Cultural history.
Bachelor students that would like to integrate aspects into their studies that reach beyond the usual boundaries of their discipline, can request the X+Y status for one or more semesters.
