Opera/Theatre
Opera and Theatre merged to create the Opera/Theatre Department in 2007: this course, the only one of its kind in Europe, reflects the way the contemporary practise of these two performing arts is developing – with the two disciplines moving increasingly closer together. Theatre has been branching out, incorparating other media and using elements of sound and song, while presentational, language-based and movement-related skills are becoming more and more important in opera.
