CV

  • Marc-Antoine Camp has many years’ experience in music education research, development and teaching. Prior to joining the HKB, he spent nearly twenty years at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he led projects focusing on talent development, music education for older adults, school music, the development of music schools and higher education in music. His project work is characterised by a combination of didactic expertise and empirical research, as well as by collaboration with partners in the field and music universities abroad. On behalf of government bodies, he has produced foundational reports on music education, cultural policy and research policy, and has been committed to establishing artistic research within the third cycle of higher education. Since 2013, he has supervised PhD students and served as an external examiner. As a trained musicologist specialising in ethnomusicology, the transmission of intangible cultural heritage and Swiss traditional music is also a recurring theme in his work.
