Benefit Concert Humanity

Students are setting an example for the values that are essential in times of war: mediating, keeping lines of communication open, building bridges. With music by Russian composers and lyrics by Ukrainian writers.

Students at the HKB Bern Academy of the Arts, from all singing classes and from the theatre, are setting an example and supporting the values that are essential in times of war: mediating, keeping lines of communication open, building bridges. Symbolically and artistically, the programme combines songs and arias by Russian composers from the 19th and 20th centuries with prose and lyrics by Ukrainian authors of the 20th and 21st centuries. 

Music by Pjotr Tschaikowsky, Modest Mussorgsky, Sergei Rachmaninow and Sergei Prokofiew as well as texts by Anastasija Afanaseva, Maksym Rylskyi, Serhij Zhadan and Katja Petrowskaja will be performed.

All of the money collected will be donated to Swiss Solidarity to help the people of Ukraine.
