Interview: Three questions for Yuliia Sukhovych

Why are you studying opera?

Opera provides a platform for exploring diverse emotions and themes, making it a unique and expressive art form. Additionally, studying opera can enhance one's understanding of classical music, vocal techniques and theatrical production.

What was your first encounter with opera?

I was watching a broadcast of La Bohème from the Metropolitan Opera, starring Luciano Pavarotti, Mirella Freni and Plácido Domingo.

Which is your favourite opera and why?

I do not have any favourite opera, in my opinion, each opera was created under the influence of time and events and it is very difficult to single out one thing. Also, out of respect for the composer, every opera has the right to live.
