Salam Carmen

Students of Tanja Ariane Baumgartner, Malin Hartelius and Tomasz Herbut have connected the Carmen theme with a current social issue. They did not want to have a director do this work, as it is usually the case, but to experience the social dimension of the freedom theme in their own bodies, so to speak: Coached by the Iranian cultural mediator Sahereh Astaneh, they stepped out of their comfort zone and interviewed Iranians, thus bringing Bizet's opera ‘to life’.
