EPHEMERAL DANCE explores the intimate and timeless relationship between music and dance, united by rhythm, movement and expression. Throughout history, composers have drawn on dance either as a tangible, recognizable presence or as a subtle and fleeting source of inspiration.

Serving as the guiding thread of the concert, dance connects different eras, cultures and musical languages — from Baroque and popular traditions to contemporary electronic sound worlds. Through contrasting chamber ensembles and sound colors, the program invites the audience to experience dance as an ephemeral presence within music.
