  • Jeremy Mage is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer
    and composer from New York. His formal education includes
    philosophy, ethnomusicology, and music composition, with a special
    focus on music’s transformative social functions. In addition, he studied
    with Baba Olatunji, Alan Ginsberg, James Hurt, Fred Frith, Yusef
    Lateef, Srinivasan in Varanasi, and Pupy Pedroso in Havana. He
    played piano and organ on a Grammy winning album in 2012, and
    toured worldwide as a multi instrumentalist with soul jazz artist Lizz
    Wright, dub crew the Easy Star All Stars (Promoting reggae billboard #1
    albums “Dub Side of the Moon” and “Radiodread”) , and afro beat
    queen Wunmi (with whom he produced a #1 single on U.S. satelite
    radio “Family” charts). He has composed and produced music for
    dozens of television shows, films, and movies. His first album as a
    songwriter is available on Brooklyn-based Tummy Touch records, and
    he is currently developing new songs with inspiring musicians in Bern
    and Biel. He began teaching at HKB in 2017.
