Dial-A-Poem

Pick up the phone and listen: a tribute, a thought, an anecdote, a poem. Poets, writers, thinkers, figures from theatre and cinema or songwriters have lent their voices and words to Dial-A-Poem.

The Dial-A-Poem Switzerland project will be presented at the Swiss Literary Institute in Biel/Bienne. Following its installations at the Bains des Pâquis in Geneva and Kunsthalle Basel, the telephone stops in Biel/Bienne highlighting the circulation of literary creation across Switzerland’s linguistic regions.

By inviting visitors to listen to voices from all over Switzerland and experience poetry in a renewed form, John Giorno’s emblematic project resonates strongly with the Institute’s mission: to offer a unique bilingual track leading to a Bachelor’s degree in literary writing.
