Verbal Haemorrhage

Talia Buffle-Benetos.

Verbal Haemorrhage – being perpetually surrounded by polluted sound, messages and meaning get drowned out. Verbal Haemorrhage started out as a week-long vow of silence. This performance was born out of an attempt to remove oneself from political discourse by just removing the ability to enter said discourse. It eventually transformed into an exercise of observation and meditation. All communication was written, and therefore recorded. The vestiges of this journey are left to be discovered in a small booklet. It contains the overspill, what was needed to be said during the week long vocal silence.
